This sign uses a build-up technique of art pieces cut from PVC sheets (already colored) and HDU cutouts (the red letters). The sign substrate is 2 inch thick HDU. Epoxy is used to join all pieces together. PVC is used instead of HDU when a thickness less than 1/2 is required. It has similar thermal and chemical properties as HDU, and can used interchangeably when multiple layers are required.
