This sign has unusual cutout letters, each consisting of two pieces, an inner letter and an outline letter that fit together. Both are made from 2 inch HDU. The letters for "Village" are made from 1/2 thick HDU and are elevated off the substrate by aluminum pins. The sign's substrate, a woven bamboo fabric, has been streched and glued on the 2 inch HDU substrate, which has been sandblasted to leave the raised border. because of this fabric, the letters are fastened to the substrated with aluminum pins and dowels. The green and tan/gold colors say "high-class", the bamboo pattern says"Asian", and the letter designsays "we are different" than most restaurants.
