Above is a photo of a carved sign made for a Historic Inn. . The sign is carved from High-Density-Urethane (HDU). The text , border and  artwork (its logo) are engraved into the HDU substrate.   The sign is painted with long-lasting sign enamels, and the text, logo and border are gilded with 24K gold leaf.  The sign  is spray-painted twice with  clear coats for additional  protection . The sign can be mounted on a wall, between two posts,  or hung from the two eye-hooks shown in the photo connected to chains  from an overhead wood beam or a wrought iron  scroll bracket mounted on a building wall or post.
