This section shows  signs with  wood side posts and a top horizontal wood beam, from which  hanging  sign can be hung or hard-mounted to the top beam. This support system  are often used for double-faced signs, so that both the front and the back of the sign can be viewed. The sign can be hung using snap links or chains so that it can swing in the wind, or rigid wood struts  or steel rods can be used to attach the sign to the top beam.  We can provide  this installation hardware with the sign, posts and top beam, and  we can pre-drill holes  for easy installation.

The posts are usually inserted into a 2 ft deep hole in the ground, which is filled with concrete, or alternatively, they can be mounted on a steel or aluminum base or plate that can be bolted to a concrete foundation.  The bottoms of the posts are treated with a wood preservative. The wood posts are painted with a wood primer and a top coat using a long-lasting wood enamel, usually in a color to match the border of the sign. Natural redwood or Cedar wood posts can alternatively be stained and varnished.
